1998 Lincoln Mark VIII LSC
This LSC (Luxury Sport Coupe) features the 290 horsepower 4.6 L all-aluminum 32-valve DOHC Intech V8 later made famous in the Mustang Cobra. The 4-speed 4R70W electronic automatic overdrive transmission, true dual exhaust system and aggressive 3.27:1 rear axle ratio are tuned for more sportiness in the LSC.
I'm the 2nd Owner having purchased the vehicle in 2017 with 11,243 original miles from my 93 year old next-door neighbor of 25 years. I personally witnessed the vehicle was always garaged since the original dealer purchase. I have garaged it myself ever since. The Interior is in Mint Condition with no flaws or signs of wear. The vehicle has never been smoked in.The Certificate of Title will confirm only 2 Owners and our neighboring addresses in Austin, TX.
The vehicle is in mint condition. Below is a list of enhancements I made since purchase. Note purchase of any other 20+ year old low-mileage Lincoln Mark VIII will require at least $1,000 in replacement of all rubber components. And likely another ~$1,000 in replacement of the infamous Blend Door Actuator (mine snapped at 15,000 miles).
Audio and Camera System
This vehicle has an outstanding sound stage. The already hefty doors and rear panels were further sound dampened with Dynamat Xtreme. I initially had a Morel MPS 5.950 5 channel 950 watts RMS amplifier installed in the rear deck to power the 4 Morel speakers and a 15" Polk Audio Subwoofer in the trunk. Unfortunately, the Morel Amplifier locked up in Power Protect mode last month so I replaced it with a new Alpine S-A32F S-Series 4-channel car amplifier (55 watts RMS x 4 at 4 Ohms. This audio system is still far superior to the stock JBL system delivered in the LSC models.
There is plenty of room in the rear deck to add a Mono Sub Amp and the Subwoofer RCA cables are already run from the Alpine Head Unit to the rear deck. 4 Gauge OFC power cable iwith an inline fuse block s already run to the current Alpine amplifier. Hence up to a 750 watt RMS mono Subwoofer Amp can be installed with minimal effort using a Distribution Block. The 225 Amp Tuff Stuff 7781C 4.6L Ford High Performance Black Alternator was installed specifically to power large audio systems.
